Overview:

We are an early stage tech company building a personalized learning assistant for career skills, and we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development and Partnerships Lead to join our team in New York. The Business Development and Partnerships Lead will be responsible for driving revenue and expanding our reach by identifying and securing strategic partnerships with companies and organizations that align with our mission and values. This individual should have a proven track record of success in business development and partnerships and the ability to work in a fast-paced, uncertain environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to learn quickly, adapt to new situations, and think on their feet.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the business development and partnerships efforts for the company, including identifying and targeting key industry players and potential partners, assessing potential value and fit, and negotiating and closing deals
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development and partnerships strategy, including identifying and targeting key industry players and potential partners, assessing potential value and fit, and negotiating and closing deals
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with current and potential partners, including regular communication and follow-up to ensure successful collaboration and mutual success
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to ensure that partnerships are aligned with and support the company's overall goals and initiatives
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to potential partners, including outlining the value proposition and proposed terms of the partnership
  • Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for the company to grow and expand
  • Contribute to the development of the company's overall business strategy and work with the leadership team to identify and evaluate potential business development and partnership opportunities

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in business development and partnerships, with a track record of closing deals and driving revenue growth
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively present ideas and proposals to potential partners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, uncertain environment and think on their feet, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate potential opportunities and assess their fit and value for the company
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
